COVIDATA uses image cycles to visualize COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide. The goal of the project is to explore an unconventional way to visualize data that can possibly make it feel more human.
New Case numbers are linked to speed and color -- as new cases spike, the speed increases and the image turns red. Total Case numbers are linked to speed -- as total cases increase, the speed increases. Total Death numbers are linked to the speed and look of the cycle -- as deaths increase, the speed increases, and the image deteriorates. The data reflects worldwide numbers from Jan - Nov 2020.
