A documentary animated short based on audio recordings of a toddler-aged boy named Henry. The film is animated in a way that mimics the development of language and emotions—which aren’t always clear and articulated at first.

Toddler Talks: The Trailer

Toddler Talks began when my husband and I started recording our conversations with our two-year-old son, Henry. It was important to me to invite the audience to interpret their own experiences as parents and children. Balancing the abstract approach of the visuals with the simplistic style of interview is intended to make these short stories more universal.
